Action Alert: Support the Alexander-Murray Health Care Bill to stabilize individual market premiums
Trump has rescinded the subsidies to help lower-income enrollees of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) pay for their health insurance. This has resulted in uncertainty in the insurance market and an increase in premiums. Senators Lamar Alexander (R-Tennessee) and Patty Murray (D-Washington) have submitted a bill to continue subsidies for two years to stabilize the insurance market and allow time to find a good solution for health care.

Action Alert: Oppose the Repeal of the Clean Power Act
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced on October 16 that it plans to repeal the Clean Power Plan (CPP), which was developed by President Obama in 2015 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from coal-fired power plants and to speed up the shift from coal toward cleaner sources of energy.

Action Alert: Trump rule threatens access to affordable contraception
The Trump administration issued a rule on Friday, October 6 that serves to roll back the ACA mandate for free contraception coverage. The new rule allows a broad group of employers and insurers to opt-out of covering contraceptives based on religious or vague moral objections.
