Thank the Senators Who Saved Health Care

For many weeks, we have been making phone calls and sending emails to voice our concerns about repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act. Early Friday morning, we learned that our efforts had impact. Thank you for the role you played in this historical event.

One of our members, Diane Beck, offers an important suggestion: that we each say thank you to those key legislators who stood up for the millions of people who were at risk of losing their health care. Two women, Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, are the heroes who consistently voted their conscience despite pressure and threats from their colleagues and the White House. Their resistance paved the way for John McCain to cast his dramatic vote that prevented the health care repeal.

Please take a few moments to send a note of thanks to these Senators. Emails to Senators go through their websites.

THANK YOU! And thanks to Diane for reaching out to us.
