Thanks to all who participated in our first “Happy Hour Plus,” a huge success with more than 70 people attending. Members participated in voting for the 10 best “Alternative Facts” and posting issues for the ”Wall of Shame” while enjoying drinks and nibbles. The launch of our new SIAN website was followed with a quick tour of the home page and all of the dropdown menus. The site, which is updated weekly, includes all upcoming events and action alerts. Following our website launch, we were treated to some wonderful entertainment by “Derek and the Degenerators,” including new lyrics to some old favorite tunes. We are all looking forward to their return engagement at a future event.
The SIAN Steering Committee also appreciated the generous contributions made to help defray costs for the event. We were so glad to see you all, to celebrate our common interests and to meet new members. We hope all who attended had a relaxing and entertaining time at “Happy Hour Plus.” If you were unable to attend this event, we hope you’ll join us next time. See photos below.
