Carol Tempel, the candidate for SC House 115, needs our help reaching out to voters for the election on November 6, 2018.
Here’s how you can help from your own home:
Post Card Strategy:
Sending to Democrats and Independents with addresses but no phone numbers.
Let Carol know how many postcards you’d like (e.g. 25, 50, 75, 100). She’ll provide you with a list of people you can write to on your own time.
If you can donate postage (.35/card), then please add stamps or send a donation. Note: Donating postage is not a requirement to participate.
Return ALL postcards to Carol by October 8 or sooner.
Phone banking and/or Email Strategy:
Contacting Democrats and Independents with Phone Numbers and/or Emails.
Let Carol know how many calls you’d like to make (e.g. 25, 50, 75, 100). Then she’ll provide you with a list of people and you can call them on your own time. Best call times are usually 5-7 pm on weekdays, 10-4 pm on Saturdays, 4-6 pm on Sundays.
Carol will provide a script for the call and a message to leave if they have an answering machine. As you call, you will mark the voter’s level of support. For example, a 1 (best support) 2, 3, 4, or 5 (no support).
It really helps to also ask for an email address. Note: Every email saves us $1.00 for direct mail. If you email the voter and get a return response, mark the level of support as well.
