The Committee discussed the broad scope of Human Rights, including, specifically:
Women’s Rights—domestic violence, sex trafficking, sex crimes and harassment, workplace rights and government funding for all (Reproductive Issues and Healthcare were omitted, per se, because they are covered in other SIAN committees)

Meeting Minutes: Voting Rights Committee Meeting – April 23, 2017
The revised Mission Statement was discussed. The committee liked the word “underrepresented” because it leaves space for other groups, in particular 18 year olds and out of state college students. A motion made by Robin Girardi to approve the revised statement. This was seconded by Shirley Hanson-Smith.
